    The 'Sagrada Familia'

    The Expiatory Temple of La Sagrada Família was conceived and initially developed by worldwide known Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. The works began in 1882 but they are yet to be finished. It is the icon of Barcelona par excellence, the symbol of Gaudi's artistic plenitude. A must-see visit while in Barcelona.

    La Rambla, the Iconic Promenade

    Barcelona’s emblematic boulevard is one of the promenades with the highest pedestrian traffic in the city. The walkway is lined with kiosks selling flowers, souvenirs and newspapers, while street traders, performers and pavement cafe and bars bustle with activity. Strolling along the Rambla, you will find the famous market ‘Mercat de la Boqueria’, the Virreina Palace and the Liceu opera theater. At the end of La Rambla, stands the famous monument dedicated to Columbus. You can take the lift inside the column to the viewing gallery at the top, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the port.

    Modernist-style auditorium built by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It is known for its unique beauty, being built with very advances structures for its time, such as large glass walls, gorgeous sculptures, mosaics and leaded glass decorations. It hosts the Catalan Orpheum and was included to the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1997.

    It is one of the most famous boulevards in Catalonia, and among the main ones in Barcelona for its touristic importance, since it hosts some of the most representative works of Modernist architecture, such as the Casa Milà and Casa Battló by Gaudi, the Casa Lleó Morera by Domènech i Montaner or Casa Amatller by Puig i Cadafalch. It is a perfect street for shopping fans as well, since its most luxurious shops are also located there.

    Parc Güell

    This public park full of gardens and Modernist architectural elements was designed by Antoni Gaudi in 1900. The park was planned by Güell and Gaudi to be a structured housing scheme where luxury homes with all the advancements of their time would be built, surrounded by an unequalled natural and artistical framework, resting upon the city of Barcelona.

    Hospital de Santa Creu i Sant Pau

    The hospital was founded in the year 1401 by merging six previously existing hospitals. The modern version was built between 1902 and 1930, consisting of 19 Modernist buildings. UNESCO included it on the World Cultural Heritage List.

    Camp Nou, the Barça Stadium

    The F.C Barcelona Stadium was inaugurated in 1957. It is the stadium with the biggest spectator capacity in Europe, with almost 100.000 seats. It has been the stage for a number of important sportive events, football World Cups, European Championships, Olympic Games as well as social and musical events. World-class stars, such as Bruce Springsteen or U2, have performed there.

    Poble Espanyol, the Spanish Village

    Poble Espanyol is an outdoor architectural museum displaying contemporary art, handicrafts, performances and cuisine. The enclosure contains 117 life-size buildings, resulting in a typical Iberian town with its streets, houses, plazas, theatres, schools, restaurants and artisanal workshops
